About us

Who we are​

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

My wife Luisa and I, Cristian, fell in love in Manizales, Colombia. After 12 wonderful years of marriage, we have two amazing children, Sarah and Jeronimo. As a Police Sergeant in Miami-Dade County, I lead initiatives to aid the homeless.

For the past three years, Luisa and I have dedicated ourselves to missionary work in Colombia. With the support of friends, we provide meals and education to 30 orphaned children in Africa and assist 100 Venezuelan refugee children in Colombia with clothing and educational resources. Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is. ​

Unity’s mission is to transform lives in Africa and South America by breaking the cycle of poverty through education, support, and sustainable development. By building water wells and orphanages, we provide essential resources and hope. Rooted in Christ’s love, we fulfill John 17:21-23, uniting children and demonstrating Jesus’ love. We envision a future where every child in Africa and South America thrives in a nurturing environment. They will have the opportunity to access quality education, healthcare, and essential resources, providing them with the tools and knowledge to create a brighter future for themselves and their communities. Our vision is for these children to be guided by the transformative love and teachings of Jesus Christ, fostering unity and compassion among diverse communities.
